Find your Kyocera or HP model among the 11 listed and open the maker's own driver page.

No email is asked for, and no driver file is hosted here.

Which driver page is the official one for your printer?

The page on the maker's own site, linked here for each model.

How can you tell a driver page is the maker's own?

Read the address before you download anything.

Three web addresses belong to a printer maker and any other address does not Three address strips are closed with a tick. Two read kyoceradocumentsolutions.com and kyoceradocumentsolutions.com.au and are tied to one printer. The third reads support.hp.com and is tied to a second printer. A fourth strip, drawn dashed and marked any other address, is tied to no printer and ends in a cross. kyoceradocumentsolutions.com kyoceradocumentsolutions.com.au support.hp.com Any other address
Every maker link on this page opens on one of these three addresses.

A site with any other name in its address is a third party, whatever logo it shows.

The page should name your exact model near the top, such as TASKalfa MZ4001ci.

According to HP, its Software and Drivers pages are its official site for driver downloads.

HP describes those downloads as free of cost.

HP's pages detect the visitor's own system, so each HP model here tells you to check there.

According to Kyocera Australia's help centre, drivers from a third party can carry malware.

Its print queue guide says: "Avoid downloading drivers from a third party, as they may be loaded with malware".

What if your model is not in the list?

Search the maker's own support site by model name.

Two printer names one letter apart lead to two separate support pages Two identical floor standing printers stand side by side. The nameplate under the first reads TASKalfa MZ5001ci, with the letter c picked out. The nameplate under the second reads TASKalfa MZ5001i, with an empty slot where the c would be. Each nameplate drops to its own page. TASKalfa MZ5001 c i TASKalfa MZ5001 i
Kyocera's download centre lists the TASKalfa MZ5001ci and the TASKalfa MZ5001i as separate products.

Read the exact model name off the front of the printer first.

Kyocera's page asks for your country or region, then the product name.

HP's page asks for the product name, and gives HP OfficeJet 4630 as its example.

For any other brand, start from that maker's own support site.

Why keep one support list for every office?

Several models in several offices means several driver pages to track.

Each office printer takes its driver from its own maker's page Four office blocks stand above six floor standing printers of two sizes. Below the floor are two maker pages. A route climbs from the first page into four of the printers and from the second page into the other two, and one office holds a printer from each maker. A third page, drawn dashed, has no route to any printer. Maker's own page Other sites
Each printer draws its driver from its own maker's page, whichever office it stands in.

A new starter at any office needs the driver for the printer on that floor.

A replacement laptop needs it again.

With the official pages saved in one list, your help desk stops searching each time.

Drivers are one job on a shared printer, and its settings are another.

See the security settings to check on each office printer.

  1. Read the exact model name off each printer.

  2. Find that model in the list above.

  3. Open the maker's support page and choose your operating system.

  4. Tick the model to add it to your list.

  5. Copy or print the list for your IT team.

What does this page leave to the maker?

Running printers at five or more offices?

Driver pages are one small job among many.

Five offices and fifteen bills become one invoice Five offices each hold one printer and three small bills. Five routes run down to one invoice with one amount and five rows. One invoice
Under one agreement, finance gets one invoice with a report for each site.

Each office with its own printer brings a lease, a toner order and a repair number too.

Under a managed print agreement that spans every office, each site is supplied its printer.

Toner and parts are included, and labour and servicing are too.

Every plan carries at least 2,000 mono pages a month for each printer.

We currently scope Kyocera and HP printers.

The list above shows models from both makers, and listing one is no offer to supply it.

From $160 + GST a month per device.

Standard plans, tailored to your fleet. Excess page rates are stated in your quote and are normally the same at every location.

Paper, staples and pages above your agreed volume sit outside that figure.
