The operator behind Managed Printer Services

  • 5.0 on Google from 150+ reviews
  • Trading since 2010

Managed Printer Services is operated by Global Document Solutions, an Australian office technology business.

  • Australian owned, trading since 2010.
  • The workshop is at Unit 1/8 Glasson Dr, Bethania QLD 4205.
  • No uptime figure, no response time and no client name is published here.

From $160 + GST a month per device.

Volume is pooled across every site, so a larger fleet prices into a lower band.

Paper, staples and pages above your agreed volume sit outside that figure.

This page exists so you know what is behind the name before you send anything.

It is written for whoever is buying print across five or more offices.

Four things most supplier sites imply and we are not going to

Coverage

We are not national in the way that word is usually used

The business works out of a workshop at Unit 1/8 Glasson Dr, Bethania QLD 4205.

Every state, that one included, is covered by our sister service company.

You are our client in all eight.

In all eight the person who walks through your door is on their payroll rather than on ours.

Numbers

Cost figures here are cited market ranges, and performance figures are not published

The attendance commitment is different in kind.

Next business day at every address is something we will write into an agreement, not a measurement of how we have performed.

There is no credit attached to it either, which we would rather say here than let you assume.

We publish no uptime figure and no average response time, because we have not published the evidence for them.

The trading year and the client count on the lead pages are published by Global Document Solutions.

The rating comes from their Google Business Profile.

Each is dated where it appears.

When that evidence exists the numbers will appear with it attached.

Testimonials

No testimonials until we have permission to name someone

Not because there are no happy clients.

Because a testimonial without a real name, a real organisation and their permission is decoration.

This industry has enough of that.

Certifications

No badges until they are real and current

Standards logos are easy to place in a footer and hard to verify.

If you need a specific accreditation for a tender, ask us directly and you will get a straight yes or no.

The same applies to a supplier you are comparing us against.

Two of the ten questions worth putting to every managed print provider expose a badge with nothing behind it.

Who holds the agreement and who attends the site The workshop at Bethania in Queensland holds the agreement, the rates and the ticket queue. A sister service company, dispatched, managed and paid by us, attends every address. Your site is covered in all eight states and territories on the same arrangement. WHO ACTUALLY WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR OURS The workshop at Bethania Holds the agreement and the queue. CONTRACTED Our service company Dispatched, managed and paid by us. YOURS Your site In all eight states and territories. The agreement is ours. The toolkit is not.
The middle box is the one most supplier sites leave out. It is there in every state including Queensland, and the firm inside it is named per address in your scope rather than shaded on a map.

We built this for one kind of buyer

Organisations with five or more offices

Where print has quietly become several unrelated arrangements and nobody owns the total.

That is the problem this business is actually good at, and it is where the arithmetic works in your favour.

Not a single office with two machines

We will still talk to you and we will still quote.

But we will probably tell you that buying two devices and a service contract is better.

At that size it usually is.

Why the arithmetic turns at five sites

Why an operator writes better than a manufacturer

Search for managed print in Australia and every result is a hardware maker.

Brother, Canon, Ricoh, Kyocera, Konica Minolta, Fujifilm and Toshiba.

Then Sharp, HP, Xerox, Lexmark, Epson and OKI.

All of them make printers.

All of their pages explain why managed print is good, and none of them will tell you when it is not.

We can name the whole field because we are not competing with any of it.

We do not manufacture anything.

That means we have no reason to standardise your fleet on one brand.

No incentive to put a bigger machine into a small office.

And no problem telling you that at your size the answer is to buy two devices outright.

It also means the only thing you can judge us on is service.

If you want to see that in practice, read the page on how a managed print handover runs.

It names the point in each stage where it usually goes wrong, including the stages we get wrong.

The Queensland coverage page and the New South Wales one both spell out who employs the technician attending your site.

Ask us something before you commit to anything

Including the awkward questions.

Coverage, exit terms, what happens when an attending technician underperforms.

I highly recommend Cyrus at Global Document Solutions.

Replacing a machine already on contract

We replaced our existing machine (also through GDS) and, as always, the process was seamless.

We had our machine up and running with minimal downtime.
